FAQ
When Does the Boot Camp Start?
We have a rolling enrollment, so you can start up at any time.
Do we train rain or shine?
Yes. Because we’re located in a traditional training studio, we have the option of training inside or outside.
What Kind of Person Should Join?
Our Baton Rouge Boot Camp is for anyone who doesn’t like the boring “hamster wheel” workout that most people go to the gym for. We’ve got LSU students, working moms, single professionals, and house wives doing this.
It’s still not for everyone.
If you’re not serious about getting great results… we’d rather not have you sign up.
“Boot Camp” sounds scary
Don’t let the term Boot Camp fool you, there’s no yelling and screaming, just encouragement and an awesome workout. One of the things that I love about Baton Rouge is the people, they’ve got a great sense of humor. We have a great time! Check it out:
Yeah, I know I’ve got a nerdy laugh…
What Makes Your Boot Camp Different?:
- We provide all of the equipment, you just need a water bottle and the proper attire
- The group is no larger than 10 people per instructor.
- We tailor each exercise for YOUR level of fitness; i.e. if you’re too weak to do squats, you can do isometric squats, etc.
- We are absolutely meticulous about proper form and posture; you will never be allowed to do any exercise with inappropriate technique. We’d rather sacrifice intensity in order to keep your joints healthy. You won’t be burning any fat if you’re always at the chiropractor!
Do you offer help with nutrition?
Yes. We’ve got a very in-depth diet and lifestyle manual that is available to both our Boot Camp and Personal Training Clients. The entire manual is in digital form on the Members-Only Section of ArtisanFitness.com, and it’s interactive, so you can request more information about a topic if you’d like.
What kind of certifications do your instructors have?
Jonathan McSweet:
NSCA-CPT (since 2006)
AHA BLS for Health Care Providers (CPR and AED)
